The Ten Finalists
The ten finalists, who hail from all parts of the UK include:

Help us choose a winner!
This new, annual event is a distinctive addition to the national art calendar, not only as it promotes contemporary public sculpture but a unique twist sees the public given the vote to select their favourite. Be prepared to have your art critic hat on this Summer, as Broomhill will be asking you to choose a winner! Two overall winners (to receive cash prizes) will be announced in September 2010, one chosen by the panel of judges and the other by the public.
North Devon Hospice
North Devon Hospice has been chosen to be a beneficiary of the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize, as this charity has a significant, positive impact in the local community, which the Broomhill Art & Sculpture Foundation wishes to support. The sculpture that wins the public vote will be donated to North Devon Hospice for one year and then replaced yearly by the subsequent winning sculpture.
The Prize
Each of the ten finalists will receive £1,000 to turn their proposed idea into an inspiring, celebrated finished piece, ready to be unveiled at the final outdoor exhibition, beginning June 2010, as part of the North Devon Festival celebrations.

The judges winner will receive £3,500. The ‘Public Speaks’ winner will receive £1,500.
The Judges
The Judges, including Robert Bradford, Sandy Brown, Giles Penny, Peter Randall-Page, Mike Roles and Broomhill owners Rinus and Aniet van de Sande, gathered at Broomhill in February 2010, to deliberate and narrow the fifty proposed sculptural ideas down to the final ten. The task was a challenge, but after a day of discussion and heated debate the final ideas were chosen.A big thank you to the judges and all who entered!
